ABOUT

BOROKO ROTARY

Boroko Rotary fundraises throughout the year, allowing us to continue providing many community projects such as water, health, education and the Donations in Kind (DIK) programme which brings school and medical materials into needy areas. Boroko Rotary’s main current programme is the funding of the vaccination of around 28,000 school girls to protect them from Cervical Cancer. Our Club has spent the last three years fundraising for this project and has raised over PGK 264,000 locally (approximately USD 100,000) as part of our contribution to this Fund. Through the assistance of the Rotary Club of Bribie Island, we have managed to secure funding from nine other Clubs and the Rotary Foundation for the additional amount of US $229,500.
